Phenphedrine
What is Phenphedrine?
Go ahead and ask … I know you want to. “Does Phenphedrine contain Fen-Phen?” Actually no, but points to the creators of Phenphedrine for coming up with a provocative name. As most of you know, Fen-phen was a widely used weight loss pill that had some not-so-great side effects and was subsequently yanked from the market.
While Phenphedrine is also a powerful diet pill, it doesn’t make use of the banned chemical compounds fenfluramine and phentermine. It also doesn’t have the pesky side effect of death. What Phenphedrine does have is a battery of high potency thermogenic ingredients that have been proven safe and effective.
The Science That Drives Phenphedrine
You would think since humans have been eating several times a day since we crawled out of the primordial ooze, the biology behind food consumption and energy conversion in the body would be well understood and simple. It’s actually really complex and only fully understood by a handful of people who tend to wear white coats. When you understand that fact you become very skeptical of companies that market diet pills without any science to back up the claims. What I liked about this product was the real science that led to its creation and drives its effectiveness.
The biology is complex, as I said, but it boils down to two important proteins: The CART (Cocaine and Amphetamine Receptor Transcript) and Neuropeptide Y. These are proteins that are responsible for satiety and hunger, respectively. They were actually discovered more or less by accident when researchers realized drug users experienced decreased appetite. By using a particular blend of caffeine and other thermogenic ingredients, Phenphedrine safely activates this receptor to shut off hunger and counteract the effect of Neuropeptide Y, which is a stress-induced hunger stimulator.
Downside
Phenphedrine is a serious diet pill for serious dieters. If you are sensitive to caffeine you may experience side effects like dizziness. You can effectively limit this by eliminating the ingestion of additional sources of caffeine, like in soda. If you want to loose weight you should be cutting stuff like that out anyway so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
Upside
Phenphedrine isn’t for sissies but neither is loosing weight. Phenphedrine fights the leading causes of obesity at the neurological level so you stand a good chance of seeing the results you are paying for as long as you are diligent about eating right and exercising. It appears that Phenphedrine is effective at both suppressing hunger and boosting metabolism so there isn’t much else you could hope to gain from taking it.
Bottom Line
I know you don’t come here for my witty repartee but rather to get an honest opinion about a diet pill you might spend your hard earned money on. I understand this stuff isn’t cheap, so — witty banter aside — my opinion is this product is worth the cost. It contains proven ingredients in effective doses and most, if not all, users will see pretty dramatic results.
